Executive War College Features Panel Discussion on Artificial Intelligence (AI)
U.S. HealthTek will once again be attending the Executive War College conference in New Orleans held April 30–May 1, and we’re more excited than ever because we are hosting a roundtable panel discussion on artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare with a pair of the most illustrious members of our community: Dr. Andy Moye and Dr. Greg Sorensen. The event is designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the practical applications of AI, and to gain valuable insights from our expert panelists who are using this emerging technology in the field today.
U.S. HealthTek’s commitment to sharing our experience and fostering discussions on topics important to our industry continues with this timely panel. We have worked in partnership with the War College on this level with great results. Last year we hosted Leveraging IT Investments: Maximize Your Lab’s Value and Performance, which was standing-room-only and an absolute success. Even as we were finally leaving the room, we began exploring topics for the session this year.
AI was certainly in the news a year ago, and it wasn’t surprising to us that it has roared to dominance for our industry very quickly. Our team, headed by Robert Negosian, had already been working with machine-learning technologies, especially in automation, and has been closely following the development of AI in our industry. He’s already written several well-read articles on the topics, including Understanding AI in the Healthcare Industry and the AI Revolution Is Here – Are You Prepared?
Bryan Firestone founded U.S. HealthTek 21 years ago to harness new and emerging technology to facilitate healthcare organizations to work more efficiently and more profitably, and ultimately, to provide people with better healthcare. AI has accelerated both the possibilities and the pitfalls, so we’re dedicated to making sure all have access to accurate information on what AI can do, what it can’t, and how healthcare companies can best harness its potential.

Our Moderator
Robert, our President and CTO, will be moderating. He’s been in the healthcare industry for over 25 years and is an expert in the Information Technology and Operations sectors. Under his leadership, our company has emerged as a pioneering force in the adoption of evolving technologies in healthcare and life sciences, including AI. His expertise in applications development, software systems, and business development has solidified his position as a key influencer in the healthcare industry. I must add he is also brilliant at separating the hype from the real-world aspects of new technology, which makes him especially well-positioned to moderate on this important topic.
He recently met with the panelists to prepare for this Executive War College event. “I’m excited about this because while the term ‘AI’ is thrown around so much, there is a lack of understanding of what it means to our industry in practical terms,” he told me. “For a successful real-world application, there needs to preparation, a rock-solid plan, and the ability to get the data model set up so that AI delivers what it needs to do and do it accurately. Our three panelists have functioning AI models that are doing good work for the world, and learning about their journey is going to be immensely valuable to everyone in the room.”
The session is titled “Is AI going to take my job? The Real-World Impact of AI, Machine Learning, and Automation in Healthcare.” It will be held the first full day of the conference, Tuesday April 30th, at 8:30 am in Imperial 5D at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. If you’d like to connect with Robert, me or anyone on our team before or after the session, please reach out to us. We are thrilled to host this panel and are eager to discuss this important emerging technology, including the specifics of implementation and the impact on companies both big and small. I am looking forward to it and hope to see you there!
